Mrs Goodrick studied at Durham university, graduating with a BA Honours in Education. She worked as a primary school teacher at a village school near Thirsk for just over 11 years, where she was passionate about inspiring children to learn both inside and outside the classroom. She was able to share her enthusiasm as a leading teacher for Science, promoting good practice in other schools across North Yorkshire.
After a career break, spending time looking after her three boys, she returned to education, working as a teaching assistant at Saxton, in 2021.
In her spare time, she enjoys being creative in the kitchen and her garden. Along with this, she loves to help her husband on his family farm.
